Senses is formulated to deal with infections that hamper primarily the ears. Ear infections are so common among children that they may be thought of as a type of ongoing epidemic. Antibiotics, dispensed like candy to children, are becoming less and less effective. Ear infections in the adult population are almost as common as they are in children; however, many of these adult ear infections go unrecognized. This is because they can manifest in unusual ways not easily identifiable as coming from the ear. In our Holographic Health® testing system, I find ear involvements very often. Many are related to headaches, TMJ problems, neck pain and a group of different kinds of shoulder pains. These symptoms can display themselves even with no particular pains in the ear being evident, so the practitioner often misses ear infections as a source of these discomforts and treats other areas instead. The most distressing thing about ear infections is that even if they are identified, they are very stubborn to eradicate. Just when you think they are finally gone, they return. In Chinese medicine, ear infections are differentiated into two categories. These are acute and chronic. Symptoms range from: 1) Sudden: throbbing pain in ear, hearing impaired, fever, chills, headache, dizziness, yellow discharge, to 2) Lingering: attacks of middle ear pain, smelly discharge from ear, dizziness, impaired hearing, mild fever, possible lethargy. Senses also has a positive effect on the eyes and nasal passages. The eyes are often the victim of ear infections that migrate over into them. Senses addresses these deeper stubborn head infections that seem to linger on and on causing the ears, eyes, smell and taste to be compromised.
1. Thiamine (B1) Tetrahydro Furfuryl Disulfide
By pure clinical experimentation, I began to notice that Thiamine (B1) helped with stubborn ear imbalances. Since these infections are trapped in such small areas, it is very difficult to push them out. B1 seemed to work. It was not always sudden. Results can take up to a month to occur, but I noticed they were consistent. Therefore, I am using a special form of B1 that is considered the truly bioactive aspect of B1. Deficiency signs of B1 are: poor memory, headaches, dizziness, irritability, depression, insomnia, apathy, senility, noise sensitivity, fatigue, low HCL acid, constipation, appetite loss, edema, eye muscles freeze, nervous collapse, neuritis in legs and toes like pins and needles. B1 is very helpful to the heart in a multitude of ways. It reduces spasms, strengthens, corrects an erratic beat, and heart racing. B1 corrects a condition known as beri-beri, which produces muscle loss, paralysis in legs, burning in toes, calves and soles, tingling in hands, and swelling in arms, legs, trunk and ankles.
2-5. Vitamin B2, B3, B5, & B6
These B-vitamins are synergists that promote and support B1 in Senses. They also aid the eyes with nutrition for light sensitivity and as anti-infective agents.
