glyco well

$23.95 - 90 Caps

"Glyco" is a Greek word meaning sweet or sugar. It seems that everyone is subject to blood sugar swings at some point in their lives. Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) is so widespread that it is an epidemic. Its cousin, the notorious hyperglycemia, is now striking often within our world. Many are left with the side-effects of this affliction. Many it ultimately kills despite the best efforts of medical science.

Glyco-Well was formulated to help with all forms of blood sugar imbalances, particularly hyperglycemia. it is in no way a substitute for any medication. Instead, Glyco-Well is a preventative. It assists with the various functions of the pancreas and liver to support their balance. In doing so, the ravages of blood sugar imbalances can be lessened. Again, this is not a drug and should not be considered as one. It is only a therapeutic food supplement which supports the body in certain ways.

The United States, and in fact the world, is in the midst of a diabetes epidemic. According to the US Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, over the past decade there has been a 40 percent in crease in the percentage of the US Population with diabetes, and this trend is predicted to continue to climb at this astonishing rate unless something is done to change its course.

More than 16 million Americans are living with diabetes and the risk of developing serious complications, including heart and kidney disease, stroke, blindness, and conditions leading to amputation. A full third of those who have diabetes don't even know it, as the disease often develops without obvious symptoms. The remainder are faced with the challenges of taking care of this chronic disease in hopes of preventing long-term complications. there are two main types of diabetes, simply referred to as type 1 and type 2, as well as other special types, such as gestational diabetes, which occurs in women during pregnancy. Each of these forms of diabetes is quite distinct.

People who have type 1 diabetes (formally known as juvenile diabetes) have lost the ability to produce insulin, the major hormone that controls the level of glucose in the blood. this is due to a process in which the immune cells of the body, which normally fight infection, turn against and destroy the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. People who have type 1 diabetes must take daily insulin shots to survive. Although the 1 diabetes most frequently develops in children, it can strike at any age. Approximately 5 to 10 percent of the 16 million cases of diabetes in the United Sates are type 1.

Type 2 diabetes occurs most often in adults, thought it has recently been growing in prevalence among children and adolescents. This type of diabetes accounts for 90 percent of the cased in the united Sates and is often linked to obesity. I n type 2 diabetes, the body produces insulin, but tissues such as those in the liver, muscle and fat are resistant to it. This leads to an inability to process glucose and increased levels of glucose in the blood. Type 2 diabetes is sometimes called non-insulin- dependent diabetes, since insulin injections are not required to survive. Although many patients with type 2 diabetes can be treated with diet, exercise and oral agents, almost one-third of them do take insulin to control blood glucose levels. Anyone can get diabetes, but some people are at particularly high risk, especially for type 2. These include people who have close relatives with the disease, people who are overweight, the elderly and African Americans. Low birth weight babies and women who have had gestational diabetes are also more likely to develop type 2 diabetes later in life. Researchers estimate five million people in the United States have diabetes (usually type 2), but don't know it. That's because type 2 diabetes can develop so gradually the person does not recognize the symptoms, or it may develop without any symptoms at all. This group remains an important challenge, since even people with undiagnosed diabetes are still subject to long and short term complications. About 20 million Americans have borderline diabetes, and each year up to one-tenth of them will develop full blown type 2.

Warning Signs and Symptoms

Frequent Thirst
Unexplained weight loss
Blurry vision
Wounds that don't heal
Frequent urination
Increased hunger
Frequent or recurring skin infections
Extreme unexplained fatigue

People may live for months or years without any obvious symptoms of type 2 diabetes. Sometimes, diabetes develops so gradually the person does not recognize the symptoms. Only a doctor can make a diabetes diagnosis. If you think you may have it, see your physician. Once again, Glyco Well is not a substitute for medical care! It is only a helpful food preventative. Glyco Well promotes increased energy by helping the cells use glucose efficiently,. This product was designed specifically to promote the prevention of both Type 1 and Type II diabetes, as well as those with impaired glucose tolerance (borderline diabetes).

  • Helps normalize blood sugar
  • Enhances cells response to insulin
  • Sustains energy by promoting efficient glucose utilization

DESCRIPTION OF INGREDIENTS:

1. Gymnema Sylvestre Extract

Gymnema Sylvestre is a plant native to the tropical forests of India, and has been long used as a treatment for diabetes. Recent scientific investigation has upheld its effectiveness in both Type I and Type II diabetes. Gymnema Sylvestre is probably the most practical herbal recommendation for improving blood sugar control in diabetics. Furthermore, there is some evidence that it may possibly regenerate or revitalize the insulin-producing beta cells of the pancreas. It is interesting to note that Gymnema extracts are without side effects and exerts its blood sugar-lowering effects only in cases of diabetes. Gymnema extract, when given to healthy volunteers, does not produce any blood sugar lowering or hypoglycemic effects.

2. Bitter Melon Extract

Bitter Melon is an herb that has traditionally been used by Ayurvedic (Indian) healers to treat Type II, or adult-onset diabetes. Numerous studies have shown that it can normalize elevated blood sugar levels. Bitter Melon contains an insulin-like polypeptide, polypeptide P or p-insulin (the p is for plant). In one study, glucose tolerance improved in 73 percent of Type II diabetics.

3. Pterocarpus Marsupium

Pterocarpus Marsupium has a long history of use in India as a treatment for diabetes. A potent flavonoid in this tree has been shown to help regenerate beta cells in the pancreas as well. Researchers in India studied the effects of this herb on 97 individuals with blood sugar problems and were amazed to find that it helped control blood sugar levels in 69% of them.

4. Fenugreek Extract

Fenugreek has demonstrated significant anti-diabetic effects in experimental and clinical studies. Two studies in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition reported that Fenugreek improves glucose tolerance in both Type I and Type II diabetes.

5. Jambolan

Jambolan is used for diabetes and diseases of the pancreas. It is a species of cloves used in Ayurvedic medicine. Jambolan is used to treat diabetes because it quickly reduces blood sugar, apparently without side effects.

6. Gulvel

Gulvel, also known as Tinospora Cordifolia, is a multi-faceted plant. It is widely believed not only to help restore vital energy body, but also to help revive the pancreas. It has been found to help balance levels of both blood fats and blood sugar.

7. Chebulic Myrobalan

This Tibetan medicine is a fruit. It is said to “cure all famous diseases arising from all the 3 doshas (parts of health). It is mostly a digestive aid. I use it because of its adaptive properties in working well with pain-rebalancers. In Ayurvedic medicine, it is also very highly thought of.

8. Fennel

I use fennel for its ability to aid about any kind of digestive problem. St. Hildegard said this should be one of the mainstays of our diet. She called it a “happy food” because it would put one in a better mood who consumed it daily, according to her.

9. Cinnamon Extract

According to USDA research, cinnamon helps to control blood sugar levels. Ground Cinnamon-the spice, not the flavoring-helps stimulate the production of glucose-burning enzymes and boosts insulin’s effectiveness. In one study, cinnamon made insulin 20 times more capable of breaking down blood sugars. Cinnamon has been used for centuries, with references in ancient Greek and Latin writings.

10. Inulin (from Jerusalem Artichoke)

This is considered to be a primary blood-sugar regulator because of its close chemical relationship to insulin. The Jerusalem Artichoke was often recommended by Edgar Cayce for blood sugar problems. It helps reduce the desire for sweets.

11. Zinc Gluconate

Zinc plays multiple roles in proper insulin function. It is needed to help the pancreas produce insulin, to allow insulin to work more effectively, and to protect insulin receptor cells. When zinc levels are low, two things can happen. One, the pancreas may not secrete adequate amounts of insulin, so glucose levels remain high. Two, the insulin that is released may not work as effectively as it should. When this happens, glucose cannot enter the cells and remains elevated in the blood.

12. Vanadyl Sulfate

Vanadyl sulfate is a biologically active form of vanadium, a trace mineral that mimics the action of the hormone insulin. Produced by specialized cells in the pancreas, insulin regulates the metabolism of carbohydrates and protein, breaking down those nutrients into a form that can be utilized by the cells to make energy. If you don’t produce enough insulin, or develop a condition called insulin resistance.. Studies show that vanadyl is very effective in normalizing blood sugar levels and controlling conditions such as insulin resistance, or Type II diabetes.

13, 14, 15, 16 Protease, Amylase, Peppermint oil, and Cloves

These digestive enzymes and supports are added to the formula to enhance digestive breakdown and allow the supplement to easily absorb into the system.

17. Chromium GTF

As early as 1854, a substance was identified that improved the diabetic condition. It was a complex of chromium and several amino acids that has become known as the Glucose Tolerance Factor (GTF). GTF Chromium does not act like insulin, but rather seems to enhance insulin sensitivity. It has been noted that chromium concentration in the tissues of Americans declines with age and this may be the reason for the significant increase in diabetes as we get older. Nearly 20 controlled studies have demonstrated the positive effect for chromium in the treatment of diabetes. In clinical studies of type II diabetes patients, supplementing the diet with chromium has been shown to decrease fasting glucose levels, improve glucose tolerance, lower insulin levels, and decrease total cholesterol and triglyceride levels while increasing HDL (good) cholesterol levels.
