Dakota has been in the field of Massage Therapy for over 19 years and had maintained her own private practice in Phoenix, Arizona until moving to South Carolina in 2005. Dakota attended Central Ohio School of Massage Therapy and received her licensing through the Ohio State Medical Board before relocating to Phoenix. She is also Nationally Certified under the NCBTMB. 

For 3 years Dakota was a full time instructor in one of the nation's top Massage Therapy Institutes and now continues to teach continuing education for established therapists. She has taught  Massage Therapy Core program, Trigger Point Therapy, Business and Ethics, Movement, Seated Massage, Russian Massage, Structural Integration, Neuromuscular Techniques, Facilitated Stretching, Injury and has assisted in writing the curriculum for various classes as well as writing the curriculum for all her current workshops.

Dakota began her time in South Carolina as the Executive Director of the Holographic Health Institute which focused on teaching a four part series based on Dr. Baroody's health system, Holographic Health.  Dakota assisted Dr. Baroody, author of several leading health books,  in developing the Holotherapy technique which combines the Holographic Health concepts with massage therapy. She continues to practice all aspects of Holographic Health which utilizes the principles of Tibetan Medicine, Aurvedic, and Quantum Mechanics.

In 2007 Dakota became certified as Holistic Lifestyle Coach recognized through the Paul Chek system. In her practice she combines her experience with each of the modalities she has been trained in to treat per clients in a way that is profoundly health and life altering.

Since being in South Carolina Dakota has worked part time as a Master Therapist for the Sanctuary Spa at Kiawah Island, helped develop Anew Image Medical Spa, trained with and assisted Dr. Baroody, and now has an office in West Ashley on St. Andrews Blvd. She founded Om Body to take her experience and passion for health and well being in hopes to do her part in helping others. In addition to Om Body, Dakota also founded Art For Souls, an independent company who caters to the marketing needs of small business and non-profits. She divides her time between both companies to eliminate any boredom or complacency that may result in doing the same thing every day!

In addition to massage and teaching, Dakota is an avid artist, writer and lover of the outdoors. She enjoys traveling, rock climbing, kayaking and studying Buddhism and Native American philosophies. She plans on traveling to Thailand and India at some point in her life to pursue an education in Thai Massage, and to do volunteer work. Until then she takes every opportunity to step in the places around her and practice mindfulness!
